VARIETY: Zoya Laktionova’s Mariupol Memoir Wins Big at Visions du Réel’s Industry Awards
Zoya Laktionova’s “Ashes Settling in Layers on the Surface,” a deeply personal reconstruction of family life in wartime Mariupol, has won the Eurimages Co-production Development Award at the prize-giving of Visions du Réel’s industry section, VdR–Industry.

Presentation of the 20 HECTARES a new multimedia work by Zoya Laktionova and Kayarzyna Szyngiera. The Warsaw War Memorial Cemetery for Soviet Soldiers, also called the Mausoleum, occupies almost twenty hectares in the city center, close to Mokotowski Field, which is five and a half times larger than it is. We propose to rethink this space and the memory it holds through five renovation concepts.
